Bang Bang Shrimp Skewers


 

INGREDIENTs

  • 20-24 Shrimp (cleaned, raw)

  • 1 tbsp Sriracha

  • 1/4 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Lime

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp garlic

  • cooking oil

  • green onion ( for serving)

  • 1/3 cup vegenaise ( or good quality oliva oil based mayo)

  • 1 tbsp Sambal Chili Paste

 

 

DIRECTIONs

  1. Preheat grill to medium heat

  2. In a wide bowl, add shrimp with lime juice, minced garlic, few pinches of sale, 2 tbsp oil,and black pepper. Toss and coat shrimp. Leave aside for 5-10 minutes (no longer as shrimp will begin to cook in acid)

  3. Bang Bang Sauce: In a bowl add sriracha, sambal chili paste, honey, mayo. Whisk well to make sauce. Taste and adjust salt to your taste. Set aside

  4. Skew shrimp onto skewers. You can also add veggies to skewers to make larger portion size.

  5. Place on pre-heated grill for 2-3 minutes per side. Dont wait for grill marks, as you don’t want to overcook the shrim

  6. Drizzle shrimp with bang bang sauce. Garnish with scallions. Serve lime wedges and more sauce on the side

  7. Enjoy!
